Graphics: For a game that is 5 years old it still looks pretty good. But I'm fairly biased here, I absolutely love that TRON look, flashy neon colours everywhere! It works even better here than in the 1982 movie (where they had to "emulate" a virtual world with a real stage and postproduction tricks that didn't involve cgi at all). 8/10 since it obviously looks dated from today's eyes.
However, I have to hold back 1 more point (and give only 7/10) since you can't set every screen resolution, 1280x960 is the limit, and there's no true widescreen support.

Sound: One word: perfect. The artificial voices really sound "authentic" and are quite funny (the more of a tech geek you are the more you'll laugh about their taunts and funny one-liners). Sound effects are spot on and totally give you the feel of this world inside of a computer. Music as well, obviously synthesised, but is never intrusive and also captures the mood perfectly.

Controls: Pretty much the usual, WASD + mouse + a few extra keys. Works smoothly, switching weapons is easy and logical. Playing the light cycle games on the other hand is hard, so I hold back 1 point. And another one since you can't edit your controls via ini file or write macros (Unreal, I'm looking at you), not that you need them, but still. 8/10

Story: Just what you'd expect: You play a guy that has been digitised (brought "inside" the computer world), just like in the original movie. The plot is somewhat complex and unfolds during the course of the game, sometimes via the interaction with other NPCs, sometimes via reading other peoples' emails or watching short video clips. I won't tell you how the story goes, but you'll visit many interesting places on your quest. Like a flaming red environment of a firewall, a totally minimalistic interior of a PDA, or a pub where other programs like to hang out: the Progressbar. You'll battle viruses, meet compilers, and flee a format wall.

Fun: The game was great fun to play, every minute of it. And thanks to the first patch you could skip the difficult light cycle races that always felt a bit out of place within the setting of a first person shooter. If you know the movie you'll find many familiar things, some of them even put in another context.

Replay: I think I must've played this game at least 3 or 4 times (and I mean from start to end), and I've tuned into it many times more. The graphics still hold up against current standards, when you consider they were always kept to a somewhat minimal style.

Bottom line: if you're a fan of the movie, you'll HAVE to play the game. But you most likely did already. For those of you who haven't seen the movie, give this game a chance, since it's not your average shooter.
